New cases of the novel corona virus that emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in late December are being reported daily around the world.More than 4,600 people have died globally from COVID-19, as the illness is officially known, while more than 126,000 infections have been confirmed in dozens of countries, according to the World Health Organization.
